Sunday was Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and we want to say thank you to all those who joined our No Better Friend Corp. team in backing the badge across Wisconsin. Law enforcement professionals deserve better leadership than our political class has offered - may God bless them and their families as they keep our communities safe.

At the December 14, 2021 meeting of the Common Council, the City of Onalaska Clerk specified that she was going to treat election officials listed as ‘unaffiliated’ as if they were Democrats. Does this violate state law which mandates that those submitted from the two major political parties should receive preference? This week, my Republican colleagues and I introduced a legislative package of bills at press conferences across the state supporting our law enforcement officers.

From recruitment and relocation to retention and recreation, this package aims to address the struggles departments are facing throughout Wisconsin.

This week is shaping up to be a busy week at the capitol! The Senate Committee on Labor and Regulatory Reform has rescheduled their meeting that was originally to be held in December. It will now be held on Tuesday, January 11 at 10:00am in the North Hearing Room on the 2nd floor of the north wing.
