Federal Judge Lynn Adelman issued a temporary restraining order against the Mukwonago Area School District in Wisconsin, prohibiting them from enforcing a recently implemented policy that banned students from using restrooms and locker rooms based on their gender "identity." The order mandates that male students who identify as female must be allowed to use the girls' facilities. The school district, located in the Milwaukee area, is now required to comply with this ruling.

DRAG QUEENS COMING TO A LOCAL ESTABLSHMENT NEAR YOU

Actions which were traditionally considered sexual perversions and deviations in our society are now being mainstreamed into it under the guise of “woke-ism”. Bible-believing Christians who disapprove of the current woke cultural upheaval (which is being forced upon them) are labeled as bigots and racists. Christian beliefs which stem from deep convictions derived from the Bible are rejected and disrespected by the left-wing woke movement. However, conversely, this same woke culture expects all people to accept and facilitate their amoral woke beliefs without question.

Drag Queens in Sparta?

There is a new business just getting started in Sparta called the Sparta Soda Works. The owner remodeled the old police station, and it appears that it could have been a great business in the community.

It has been brought to my attention that they will be hosting the Soda Works Drag Brunch on SUN, AUG 6 -- that is where I say hmmm . . . and it is open to all ages. Just like Drag Queen story hours in the library, this kind of behavior is not appropriate for kids and is another attempt to normalize deviant behavior in a failing society.

Let me begin by expressing my humble gratitude to those who attended the 6th Annual Coulee Conservatives Night with the Loggers. It was a terrific ball game and an amazing fireworks show afterwards but most of the fun came from simply visting with fellow Coulee Conservatives. Elected officials and their staff were there along with many of us in the grassroots movement and we all had such wonderful conversations while enjoying ball game treats like burgers and brats. I can't wait to do it again next year!

Lessons from Learning to Play Guitar after 50

Seven months ago, right around the time I turned 51, as I contemplated that our 25th wedding anniversary was coming in 2023, I got the hair-brained idea to learn how to play the song we danced to at our wedding. In my mind, I imagined the look on my wife’s face as I strummed along to Tim McGraw's, "It's Your Love." A sweet song about how love can change a person for the better: certainly appropriate for the occasion.

This week, Governor Evers used his line-item veto to strike $3.34 billion in income tax cuts for residents and small businesses from the state budget.

Evers eliminated tax cuts on all married Wisconsinites making more than $36,840 and all single filers’ earning more than $27,630--all while pretending to provide a budget for working families to help with rising costs of living.

Tom Tiffany for US Senate?

You would be blind not to see that the 2024 campaign season has begun. It probably began before the 2022 election was anywhere near over, but that is a topic for another time. These days there are candidates announcing for President and making the required trips into early voting states and in Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District postcards slamming Congressman Derrick Van Orden are arriving in the mail. Maybe the biggest surprise is the talk of Wisconsin Congressman Tom Tiffany (R-7th) to run against incumbent US Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) in the 2024 election!

A Budget Made for Wisconsin

Republicans have shown yet again it is possible to fund Wisconsin priorities like high-quality education for all students and investing in our roads while delivering much-needed tax relief to our residents and businesses. I applaud the Joint Finance Committee for their hard work on this spending plan, a budget made for Wisconsin. The Biennial budget passed Thursday night, with a 63-34 vote among party lines.
