On Thursday, Republicans unveiled a local government funding plan at press conferences across the state. The proposal devotes 20% of state sales tax revenues to local governments or approximately $1.5 billion. Every local government will see at least a 10% increase in their shared revenue.

More than $500 million in new money will go towards innovation and public safety. Here's the breakdown:

One of the things I have heard about the most as I’ve done listening sessions in my district, and our travels for the budget hearings this session, is the need for additional funding for local units of government. Today, we laid out the framework for the largest increase in aid to local governments in a generation, including historical reforms and directing new funding to law enforcement, fire and EMS services.

I will always stand with the farmers who feed America. I’m glad that elements of my amendment were included in the revised Limit, Save, Grow Act that protect our corn growers and biofuels industry. That is a win for Wisconsin and America.

Our country is in crisis, and we need leadership. As someone who has led troops in combat, I can attest that Speaker McCarthy has shown incredible leadership, and I’m proud that he is our Speaker. It is time for President Biden to display some leadership himself by coming to the negotiating table.

It’s been over 50 years since Congress passed Title IX of the Education Amendments, which was a game changer for female athletes and women’s rights. The passage of Title IX was a promise to women across the nation that they would no longer be denied the right to fair competition in athletics and the classroom.

Before this landmark legislation was signed into law women made up just 9% of college athletes – today that number has risen to almost 45%.

Have you ever wondered why men and women don’t compete against each other in sports?

You should never have to choose between putting food on the table and filling up your gas tank. That’s why I helped the House of Representatives pass the Lower Energy Costs Act, which will bring much-needed relief to high energy costs.

I wanted to update you on this important legislation that will increase domestic energy production, reform the permitting process, and reverse anti-energy policies that are causing pain at the pump. The Lower Energy Costs Act:

As Western Wisconsin experiences widespread flooding, I wanted to provide some important resources to help you stay safe and informed.

Water levels continue to climb on the Mississippi River with sites already in minor or moderate flooding. This flooding will continue through the weekend. Some sites may approach or see major flooding this weekend.

Advocating for the vaccine injured

COVID vaccine injuries are real. They’re serious, and they aren’t all that rare.

From the beginning, I have been investigating the federal government's failed response and demanding transparency and accountability through congressional oversight.

Standing up for the vaccine injured is one of the many reasons I ran for re-election.

It’s time for the CDC to come clean and be honest with all the data on COVID-19 vaccine injuries. The American and world public has the right to know!
