When I was 8 years old, I was told I had a mental handicap and would need special schooling from then on. I remember telling myself that I would work hard and do whatever it took to survive. I moved forward with a great attitude, and it was not long before I was diagnosed with dyslexia. I could barely read when I entered the 8th grade, but by the end of high school, with a little hard work and determination, I was doing well with no issues at all.

La Crosse County Administrator Hiring

I read with interest a headline article published in The La Crosse Tribune on December 7th about three finalists for the La Crosse County Administrator position. As a former La Crosse County Supervisor I am very much aware of the importance of this position to our county.

I have since learned that the County Executive Committee interviewed the three finalists and sent Interim CA Jane Klekamp to the full board for a vote. The board sent the recommendation back to the Executive Committee. I think this speaks volumes.

As this year comes to a close and we look ahead to the next legislative session, I'm optimistic about the exciting things my Republican colleagues and I will bring to the table. Most importantly will be approving the state budget. More to come on that, so stay tuned.

Every legislative session, I like to hit the reset button and begin anew and invite every elected official in the state capitol to do the same. Instead of name-calling and personal attacks, we can bring back civility in politics.

Why I'm Running for Wisconsin State Supreme Court

It is easy to take our Constitution for granted. We learn about it as kids. We see it in person on school field trips to Washington, where it sits safely under shatterproof glass and constant police surveillance. Like the freedom it protects and the rule of law it secures, the Constitution’s existence is sometimes thought of as just another fact of life. Like the color wheel. Or the laws of gravity.

Don't Buy What Democrats Are Selling as Reality

We live in a topsy-turvy world where true reality is often altered and replaced with a new surreal Democrat reality. This new pseudo-reality is then forced and reinforced upon society until those who imposed it eventually claim this newly created reality is indeed fact. Hence, Democrats want to force a paradigm shift in what is considered reality.
