I attended the Mayoral Forum hosted by the local apartment owners association on Monday evening at the Moose Lodge. I did not vote for either of the two remaining candidates from the Primary so I wanted to hear from them on this evening.
Today’s Continuing Resolution not only prevents a government shutdown but also reaffirms our commitment to the values and priorities the American people sent us here to accomplish. Despite what the 212 Democrats who voted against this bill want you to believe, every American who is legally entitled to these programs – whether it’s Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, or VA benefits – will continue to receive them.
As the race for the next Wisconsin Supreme Court justice heats up, the media and dark money PACs have resorted to sharing lies about candidate Brad Schimel, using manipulative tactics to confuse voters. Here are the facts.
Brad and Sandi Schimel are the proud parents of two adoptive daughters, Mackenzie and Hailey, who were both the results of unplanned teen pregnancies. In a recent video, Brad shared that his daughters are his “greatest blessings,” and he remains grateful their birth mothers chose adoption over abortion.
The Spring election is less than four weeks away on Tuesday, April 1st and I have been studying the candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court and I will be voting for Brad Schimel.
Here are a few things I discovered about Schimel’s opponent, Susan Crawford. Crawford is a Madison Judge with a bizarre pattern of releasing sexual predators, child molesters, and pedophiles back on our streets. Wisconsin Right Now shared an instance where a man convicted of sexually assaulting 6 and 7-year-old girls in a Middleton swimming pool is back on the street after Crawford’s minimal sentence.
In a democracy, we're used to listening to candidates tell us what they plan to do in government. Then we vote for them based on what they tell us. Words and what they mean to us are very important. I have concerns about candidate Susan Crawford. I have not heard her come up with definitions of words that we commonly know the meaning of- - words like: woman, mandate, the border is secure, democracy vis-a-vis democratic republic.
Are you tired of the television advertisements about Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel being an extremist and unfit for the Supreme Court because he supports an 1849 law about abortion? That, my friend, is exactly why he supports it. It’s the law!
Did you watch President Trump's address to Congress? I certainly did. Did you notice how the chamber was split down the middle and on one side were Republicans and and on the other were Democrats? Can they even be called Democrats anymore? Certainly, you could agree that their new agenda appears different from what it was in former decades. Who has led them to this point, inspired by such hatred, that no matter the issue or cause, in lock step, they refuse to celebrate a 13-year-old boy with brain cancer being presented with the gift of becoming an honorary officer of the law.
I'm publishing this to keep you informed about our community election and provide information that you might need as you talk to our La Crosse neighbors.
Thank you for getting involved!

Today, I announced that paused Dairy Business Innovation (DBI) Initiative program funds have now been released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. DBI Initiative is a critical program that supports dairy businesses in the development, production, marketing, and distribution of dairy products.
The release of DBI Initiative program funds comes just days after I spoke with Elon Musk and Secretary Rollins on the importance of DBI and protecting critical agricultural programs while DOGE issues funding and staffing recommendations to the Department of Agriculture.
On Thursday, the Assembly Committee on Education held an important hearing regarding LRB 872/2 and 880/2: Save Women's Sports Act.
Biological men participating in women's sports has become a serious issue across the country. In 2022, Lia Thomas (born as a biological male named William Thomas), won the NCAA championship in swimming after Thomas joined the women's division. In the men's division, Thomas was far from a top contender, finishing 554th in the 200-meter freestyle. Against women, Thomas finished fifth.
