LifeSite News reports that Governor Evers’ budget recommendations for the 2025-2027 fiscal period fixated primarily on removing sex-specific language from numerous parts of state law. Evers’ proposal replaces “wife” and “husband” with “spouse,” “father” with “parent,” and, most notably, “mother” with “inseminated person” and “parent who gave birth to the child.” This follows in the footsteps of proposals that suggest using the term “chestfeeding” rather than “breastfeeding” because it is allegedly “more inclusive.”

Since the beginning of our legislative session in January, much of my attention has been focused on the state budget. The budget will continue to be my primary focus until it is signed into law. However, I also wanted to share a few of my other legislative priorities for this session with you.

The American people gave President Trump a clear mandate, and he is delivering on his promise to put America first. During the four years of disastrous leadership from former President Biden and Vice President Harris, our nation faced the worst border crisis in history, crippling inflation, record-high gas prices, and strategic weakness that brought us closer to WWIII than ever before.

With all the news of the DOGE findings and other incentives to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal government – in Washington, D.C. and all across the country – “they” must remember that the money involved belongs to “we the people” meaning you and me. Much of the entrenched government bureaucracy and even many elected Democrats may try to tell you differently!
