My path to becoming a United States Marine

I want to take a moment to tell you about my path to becoming a United States Marine, and what being a veteran means to me.

I grew up in the small town of Middletown, Ohio.

Middletown was once an industrial powerhouse, but thanks to the unfair trade deals signed by our “leaders” in DC, the people of Middletown were left behind.

Like most of the enlisted Marines I served with, I joined the military to serve my country. It was also a way for a kid from a poor family to achieve the American Dream.

Providing for the Mississippi River

The Third District of Wisconsin has a unique set of transportation and infrastructure needs. We have the largest continuous section of the Mississippi River of any congressional district in the country, meaning that our ‘north-south highway’ is the River. Given the critical need of this inland waterway system, I’m excited the House-passed Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2024, which I voted in favor of, included many wins for Wisconsin’s Third District.

Projects specific to the Third District included in the 2024 WRDA package are:

More whistleblowers are coming forward to talk about the Biden administration's disastrous border policies that are not following the law and keeping Americans safe.

This week, we held a second roundtable with whistleblowers. This one examined Department of Homeland Security's neglect to take or submit illegal immigrants’ DNA samples to FBI databases – a violation of the DNA Fingerprint Act of 2005 – and its retaliation against whistleblowers who lawfully disclosed the issue to Congress.

Explaining the August 13th Referenda Questions

As we get closer to the August 13th primary, we wanted to bring your attention to two binding referenda that will be on your ballot. These referenda will amend our state constitution if they pass with a simple majority vote. The state legislature has already passed them twice—in two consecutive legislative sessions. Now “we the people” have the chance to make our voices heard at the ballot box. Remember: the process for amending the state constitution completely bypasses the veto pen of the governor.
