Wisconsin State Senate passes job creation bills
I am honored the state Senate passed two of my bills this week that focus on generating more jobs in Wisconsin.
The first, SB 880, clears the way for Agristo, an international potato processing company, to construct a facility in Stevens Point.
The proposed plant would be Agristo’s first in North America and is expected to create 150 well-paying jobs and bring an investment of nearly $50 million to Central Wisconsin. Agristo is also planning to support local farmers by purchasing an estimated 20,000 acres of potato crop per year from Wisconsin producers.

The second bill, SB 878, improves an existing investment program designed to attract more startup companies to operate in the state.
While Wisconsin has many of the vital ingredients necessary to build a vibrant innovation-based economy, neighboring states are investing at much higher levels, and our startup rate remains much lower than what it could and should be.
By making a few technical modifications to the Badger Fund, we are putting ourselves in a better position to ensure our startups can utilize the program in the most efficient way possible and create more jobs in Wisconsin.

One more great effort from Patrick Testin
It is so hard in America with all the government's overbearing regulations and requirements to succeed in business. Our regulations and mandates are expensive and cumbersome. Let us all hope this succeeds!
