Milwaukee School Board Dismiss Staff Letters
Staff letters to the Milwaukee School Board describing abuse, toxic environments, and lost hope at a Milwaukee Public School are dismissed with no action according to this Journal Sentinel article.
One letter said the "system is clearly broken." Another wrote that students know “with the revolving door of administrators, they won’t receive any effective consequence” for bad behavior.
The letters were sent in November, a response from the head of MPS’ Office of Board Governance was dated February 3rd, but was not sent until March 10th. A source within the school suggests not much has changed since the letters were sent.
Republicans voted in February to break up MPS because something needs to be done.
