Lowering Your Energy Costs
Gas and diesel prices have spiked in Wisconsin yet again. Prices are nearing $4 per gallon in many communities across the Third District, and Wisconsin families have had enough.
In Congress, I championed the Lower Energy Costs Act to help drive down costs for Wisconsin families. This bill would:
- Increase domestic energy production
- Reform the permitting process for all industries
- Reverse anti-energy policies advanced by the Biden administration
- Streamline energy infrastructure and exports
- Boost the production and processing of critical minerals
The House did our job by passing this bill to help lower gas prices for American families. Now, it is time for the Senate and President Biden to do theirs. You can read the bill here.

Go Derrick!
Wow, this is great leadership, I have never seen anything like it!
But Derrick we need two more things and they are critical! We need a couple of oil refineries, and they will need to be government-sponsored, private enterprise has lost all incentive to build them. The government has mandated electric cars and no one wants to build a refinery as it will be unprofitable overall. America is being held hostage by the oil companies by keeping us on the edge of supply.
The other thing is we need a massive build-up in nuclear power plant generation. We will need a huge amount of electrical power that we don't have. It is time for America to realize we are working ourselves into a severe power shortage.
