There are big questions on the Spring Election ballot on April 4th. Actually, there are multiple ballot questions concerning a Constitutional Amendment, an advisory referendum, and a very important election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court in addition to a La Crosse County question regarding abortion. All these concerns stretch across Wisconsin’s Coulee Region and the rest of the state too. Then, there are numerous elections for city, town and village leadership. Most area school districts will be electing some members to their Boards of Education as well.

This week, Legislative Republicans introduced two bills, one that would allow pharmacists to prescribe and dispense birth control, and the other that would create rape and incest exceptions to the state’s 1849 abortion law and clarify when abortions that protect the health of the mother would be allowed.

Political candidates’ endorsements often speak volumes about how an elected official will handle critical issues.

In the case of Judge Janet Protasiewicz, candidate for Wisconsin's Supreme Court, her endorsements astonishingly speak just as loudly as her own words, which are already bluntly liberal and arguably unethical.

“In regard to the progressive label,” she says, “I embrace that [label] when it comes to issues such as gerrymandering, when we talk about the maps, when we talk about marriage equality, when we talk about women’s rights and women’s rights to choose.”

Milwaukee – Justice Daniel Kelly today announced the support of the Milwaukee Police Association in his campaign for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

“Judicial activists like Janet Protasiewicz continue to return dangerous people back to society while law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep their communities safe. The men and women of the Milwaukee Police Association know that we must not allow the Rule of Law to be replaced by the Rule of Janet,” Justice Kelly said.
