Election Reform Bills Head to the Governor

Passed yesterday were several common-sense election reform bills, aimed at fixing the flaws we know happened in 2020. Voters want to feel confident in the 2022 elections and beyond, and we were happy to pass these reforms.

Many of these bills address the non-partisan Legislative Audit Bureau's 48 recommendations for consideration by the Legislature and the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) to improve election practices.

Wisconsin elections should be accessible, secure, fair, and transparent. The package of election reform bills advances all of these priorities by:

If the United States is going to be able to keep any friends around the world and maintain the respect of foes and allies alike, then we MUST LEAD the free world in support of the courageous Ukrainian people. It boggles my mind that the same Americans who insist on spreading woke, anti-bully seminars within our education system are also demanding that we should mind our own business and let Ukraine be destroyed by Russian bullies. Are they really so obtuse that they don’t see the exact same human characteristics playing out on the world stage?

State of the State: Gov. Uses Right to Remain Silent on Crime

Governor Evers delivered his State of the State address last week. Though he spoke for more than 45 minutes, his speech was notable for one subject that he avoided entirely - crime. Wisconsin’s crime rate is up 9%, Milwaukee just recorded a record high in homicides, and people don’t feel safe in their communities - yet Governor Evers failed to present a plan to combat crime or even mention the subject. A striking fact is that one in five murder or attempted murder suspects in Milwaukee County was out on bond for another felony.

What would Reagan say?

I was thinking about the Ukraine crisis, and I wonder what the wisdom of Ronald Reagan would say to the world about the situation that we see in Europe.

I think Reagan would take the lead and say......The older I get, and the more history I learn, I know we have come to the point of human civility...or perhaps I should say is that most of us have.

I truly hope you don’t believe what you hear about me in the mainstream media, and certainly not in Democrat attack ads and billboards. As conservatives, we are battling the combined power of Democrats and their allies in the legacy media and Big Tech social media.

In order to counter their lies, distortions, and smears, I will be providing detailed facts to cut through the political rhetoric and arm people with real information.

Everyone remembers the horrible killing of George Floyd and how that led to all of those riots and tons of push for change.

George Floyd, George Floyd, we kept hearing about George Floyd.

George Floyd was used as the poster child for the need for reform. It is still mentioned in articles about the police oversight.

The following statement of concern is made to encourage and remind Republican leaders at all levels that Elections Integrity remains the #1 issue of Republican voters. We must do everything we can to defend the rule of law and give electors confidence that their vote counts.

Copies of this statement will be provided to RPW Chairman Paul Farrow, regional legislators, candidates for Governor and Attorney General, Chairs of 3rd and 7th Republican Congressional Districts and other influencers.

President’s Day?

The third Monday in February is the day we call President’s Day. But wait, is it really President’s Day? My wall calendar says it is President’s Day, the Google calendar says President’s Day, while Wikipedia claims it is officially Washington’s Birthday. Not only are there different names, but they celebrate different people. President’s Day would celebrate the office of President. Presidents’ Day celebrates multiple Presidents. And Washington’s Birthday honors George Washington. Which one is right, and why is there so much confusion?

Doyle Thinks You are as Corrupt as him

Governor Evers is proposing a plan to provide every taxpayer with a $150 check and trick you into voting for his re-election. Here is what Steve Doyle said about the Governor’s plan to create a rebate to taxpayers:

Doing a tax credit, where you get a check, shortly before the election, is kind of transparent, I would think. It’s an election year and that’s how politicians get. We’re always looking forward to that next election and how we can sell ourselves to the public.
