In just one Wisconsin county.

Yet, this one example is a bombshell for anyone who wants clean, fair elections.

This past week Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling released details of an investigation into potential voter fraud … and he called on current Attorney General Josh Kaul to launch a statewide investigation. The Sheriff’s investigation revealed nursing home staff may have illegally assisted residents with cognitive disorders in filling out absentee ballots.

Proud to Live in Holmen

At the Holmen School Board meeting the most controversial vote was about giving the board a 5% boost while teachers received only a 2.5% increase.

I’m proud to live in a community full of thoughtful people who care enough to participate. Each of the people who spoke on the issues were polite and thoughtful in their comments whether they agreed or disagreed with the board's decision. The same cannot be said about some in the audience.

This week we learned that the federal government collected more in taxes this year than ever before. Tax revenues surged by 18 percent – the biggest year over year increase since 1977. Even so, President Biden and Democrats in Congress have spent so much, that even with this record spike in tax collections – the federal government still posted a record deficit. It’s pretty obvious: Washington doesn’t have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem.

Wisconsin Sporting Freedom

Republicans introduced a package of bills to increase and protect sporting freedom in Wisconsin. Legendary rocker and outdoorsman Ted Nugent visited the Capitol to help highlight the importance of the legislation.

Outdoor enthusiasts are at the forefront of conservation and preservation efforts and it is extremely important to the hundreds of thousands of sportsmen and women in our state that these traditions are protected and taken seriously by lawmakers in Madison. It is vital that these rights are preserved for our future generations of outdoor enthusiasts.

Protecting Life

Last week, I told you about legislation I authored, Assembly Bill 593 - A Woman's Right to Know. It is part of a broader package of pro-life bills that Republicans in the legislature are once again putting forward for consideration.

One of the reasons that I ran for office was to protect the lives of unborn children. I’m proudly pro-life and believe Republicans have done a great job advancing the pro-life movement in Wisconsin over the last ten years. We can't and won't allow anything to get in the way of our efforts to protect innocent lives.

Sick to my Stomach

Today I was notified by my employer that I have until November 8 to get vaccinated and use their digital passport to prove it. I love what I do. I am well compensated for my work. I just don’t want to surrender my private medical details to my employer. Does that make me a bad person?

Do I keep working for a company that feels the need to spy on my medical information? Will additional private details be demanded in the future once they get this? If I surrender now, will they discriminate against another medical condition in the future that I have no control over?

Election Investigation Subpoenas

Last Friday, I announced that I signed the subpoenas Justice Michael Gableman was seeking to move ahead with his investigation. Ensuring the 2020 election was conducted fairly and legally is critically important to maintaining faith in our election system.

Justice Gableman is dedicated to finding the truth and has determined subpoenas are necessary to move forward in his investigation. Assembly Republicans will continue to work with him to ensure confidence is fully restored in our elections.
