Wisconsin Democrats and Liberal groups like the League of Women Voters have been promoting non-binding referenda advocating for a nonpartisan commission to draw election maps.

In April 2019 the La Crosse County Board placed an advisory referendum on the ballot for nonpartisan redistricting. Turnout was low at 32% but La Crosse County overwhelmingly voted for it 77.4% to 22.6%.

This past year has torn our Country apart. We have seen Impeachment and COVID. State Governors announced unconstitutional mandates enforcing the wearing of masks and social distancing. They have frightened the elderly and allowed them to die in exile away from family and friends. Lockdowns have forced small businesses and churches to close their doors. But big business and big tech are able to function unhindered.

State Senator Brad Pfaff was recently overheard proposing investments to broadband Internet as a priority for his time in Madison.

How convenient it must be that he has a job with a steady paycheck while thousands of his constituents are out of work as a direct result of the Democrat policies from the governor’s office.

I encourage Brad to get out of his basement more often and actually learn what is happening in the lives of people throughout the Coulee Region.
