Four of these school districts are Blair-Taylor School District, Holmen School District, Melrose-Mindoro School District, and Sparta Area School District.

This April 18-25, Wisconsin Family Council, alongside our national partners, is co-hosting America Reads the Bible in Washington, D.C. During this extraordinary event, Christians from across the country will gather to publicly read the Bible from cover to cover in what will be the largest ever read-through-the-Bible event in our nation’s history. Together, we will speak God’s Word in our nation’s capital and invite individuals from across the country to open their hearts to the truth, hope, and life found in Christ.

Horrific news came out of Chicago this past weekend when it was revealed that Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman was murdered by an illegal alien.

Jose Medina-Medina, a Venezuelan national, was caught and released into our country by the Biden administration in May 2023.

Just one month later, he was arrested again in the sanctuary city of Chicago for shoplifting. But like so many sanctuary jurisdictions, Chicago released him back onto the streets.

Now, an 18-year-old with her entire life ahead of her is gone.

Today is the day. Early in-person voting for the Wisconsin Supreme Court is officially underway!

From now until April 5, you can help us build a firewall for the rule of law. The radical activists are already at the polls.

We cannot let them have a head start. We need every common-sense voter to show up and make their voice heard for Judge Maria Lazar.

VOTING INFORMATION

This election is about one simple question: Do you want a Justice who follows the law, or a politician who rewrites it?

Government Lobbies Itself… For More Government

Richard Moore shines a light on how local governments are using taxpayer dollars to hire lobbyists and fund advocacy groups that then lobby for even more government spending and power, creating a closed-loop system where bureaucrats grow their own empires without real voter consent.

This insider practice wastes resources, inflates bureaucracy, and undermines accountability. Moore calls for reforms to stop the cycle and ensure tax dollars serve the public, not self-perpetuating special interests.

While pundits debate and tweet about voter behavior from afar, the Institute for Reforming Government and Citizens for Free Enterprise Action went straight to the source. In a new report, What Wisconsin Wants, The Views of 2024 Trump Voters who sat out the 2022 Gubernatorial Election, the two organizations share findings from in-depth, one-on-one qualitative research conducted directly with seventeen Wisconsin voters who voted for President Donald Trump in 2024 — but did not cast a ballot in the 2022 governor's race.

Van Orden, Neguse Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Expand Mental Health Access for Farmers

In honor of National Ag Day, I was proud to work across the aisle with Congressman Joe Neguse to introduce the Agriculture Access to Addiction and Mental Health Care Act.

Wisconsin's farmers and ranchers are the backbone of this country. They work long hours, often under tough and unpredictable conditions, to keep food on our tables and our economy moving. Too often, the mental health and addiction challenges facing rural communities go unaddressed due to limited access to care.

The 20th century could be viewed as Wisconsin’s progressive century. Wisconsin was the first state to establish a personal income tax (1911) and to allow collective bargaining by public sector unions (1959). Business regulation was strict. Labor laws favored unionization. Taxes were high. The tax burden on Wisconsinites at the end of the 20th century was the second highest in the nation.

Then, after a century of progressivism, Wisconsin broke with its past.

Gov. Evers Vetoes Legislation to Cut Red Tape

Gov. Evers has vetoed a package of “Red Tape Reset” bills authored and passed by Assembly Republicans that aim to rein in the growth of state regulations and require agencies to justify new rules. The reforms would have created stronger oversight of the rulemaking process, required outdated regulations to be reviewed or eliminated, and ensured that any new regulatory costs were balanced by reductions elsewhere.
