The Ayatollah Khomeini, Supreme Leader of Iran, is dead. He was assassinated on February 28 along with nearly fifty of his military and political leaders in the opening salvos of Operation Epic Fury, a military campaign conducted jointly by the United States and Israel against Iran. There is nearly universal agreement in the United States, Israel, across Europe, and even in the Arab states of the Middle East that his was a reign of terror and a threat to the civilized world. “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” have been his rallying cries for years.

We are now just a few weeks away from statewide and local non-partisan elections that will be held on April 7, 2026. In this important election, Wisconsin voters will have the opportunity to make their voices heard in a vital Wisconsin Supreme Court race and in local elections.

Earlier this week, I testified in front of the Senate Government Operations, Labor and Economic Development Committee on my bill that aims to save significant taxpayer dollars by improving our state government’s technological system.

AB 909 would create a Data Efficiency Study Steering Committee that is charged with bringing Wisconsin’s digital infrastructure into the 21st century by adopting a single, unified technology platform.

After recent action by the legislature, several bills I worked on are headed to the Governor for his signature. One of these bills, Senate Bill (SB) 413, was signed by the Governor on the morning of March 6 and is now 2025 Wisconsin Act 90. This week, I want to highlight this bill, which strengthens protections for victims of sexual assault.

The House Committee on Agriculture advanced the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, sending the legislation to the House floor for consideration.

Agriculture is the cornerstone of Wisconsin and the backbone of our nation. From dairy farms to family operations that have been passed down for generations, our farmers help feed the nation and keep rural communities strong. Wisconsin isn’t just a dairy state — it’s the Dairy State, and our producers set the standard for hard work and quality.
