It was a long drive to and from Arizona and the whole way back I couldn’t stop thinking about what I had witnessed in Phoenix at Charlie Kirk’s memorial.

It wasn’t just another service. It was history in the making.

As a student of history, I remember learning how the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914 lit the fuse that started World War I. One act of hate triggering global chaos.

Charlie Kirk’s tragic death has undoubtedly shaken our nation and magnified the brokenness of our world. For many, it feels like division and strife have encompassed every aspect of life, but even within this spiritual darkness, as Christians, we have a hope that is not of this world.

After hunting down war criminals in Bosnia as a Navy SEAL Platoon Leader, I had no idea that running for political office could be almost as dangerous. Eleven weeks ago, I launched my campaign for Governor with a dream for making this The Wisconsin Century, starting this decade. Today, I choose to end it on my terms.

Now I’m ready to lead for every corner of our state.

Now more than ever, Wisconsin needs people willing to step into the arena and fight to deliver on President Trump’s effort to Make America Great Again. Rep. Tiffany has done a fantastic job, and I look forward to continuing his efforts to secure the southern border, stand with Wisconsin law enforcement, unleash American energy, fight to curb wasteful government spending, and deliver lower costs for Wisconsin families.

I am officially announcing my candidacy for the 2026 Republican nomination for lieutenant governor of Wisconsin.

I’m the former Mayor of Lancaster, Congressional Aide, and federal policy analyst at Focus on the Family for Dr. James Dobson, but two of my most important titles are Husband and Father. I am concerned about my two daughters' future and the path Democrats are taking Wisconsin down.

Last week, State Representative Amanda Nedweski (R-Pleasant Prairie), along with three fellow Republicans, announced that they are introducing a bill to protect freedom of speech on state-funded college campuses. The bill is in response to a growing number of students across the state who have expressed fear of academic punishment for expressing their religious or political beliefs. Nedweski argues, “College campuses are meant to be marketplaces of ideas where debate sharpens minds and unlocks human potential. We cannot let this marketplace of ideas collapse into a marketplace of fear.”
