Today’s Continuing Resolution not only prevents a government shutdown but also reaffirms our commitment to the values and priorities the American people sent us here to accomplish. Despite what the 212 Democrats who voted against this bill want you to believe, every American who is legally entitled to these programs – whether it’s Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, or VA benefits – will continue to receive them.

The Republican-controlled House did its job by passing this bill. However, make no mistake – if Chuck Schumer does not provide the votes and the government shuts down, it will be a ‘Schumer Shutdown’ that lies solely on the shoulders of the Democrat Party.
