Van Orden Introduces First Bill of the 119th Congress
I introduced my first bill of the 119th Congress – the Strengthening Servicemembers with Milk Act – alongside Chief Deputy Whip Reschenthaler (PA-14). This bill directs the U.S. Secretary of Defense to provide fluid or powdered milk to members of the Armed Forces at dining facilities on military installations.
This legislation supports two of the greatest cornerstones of our nation – our farmers and servicemembers. Milk is a vital source of nutrients, and our men and women of the Armed Forces should have access to this essential dietary resource to maintain their health and readiness. I am proud to reintroduce the Strengthening Servicemembers with Milk Act this Congress with Rep. Reschenthaler to invest in our troops and the hardworking dairy farmers across the nation.
"Over 6,000 dairy farms in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania produce 10 billion pounds of milk each year — playing a vital role in powering our nation and its citizens,” said Rep. Reschenthaler. “I’m proud to re-introduce this legislation alongside my fellow Navy veteran to support our farmers and increase milk access for our servicemembers.”
Original cosponsors include: Reps. Glenn Thompson (PA-15), Trent Kelly (MS-01), Don Bacon (NE-02), Doug LaMalfa (CA-01), Mark Messmer (IN-08), and Bryan Steil (WI-01)

Lets make sure it is American milk products!
One of America's dairy farmer issues is that we import milk and milk products.
