Our state boasts breathtaking natural landscapes, rich history, and a warm, welcoming community, making it an ideal destination for travelers from all over the world. Tourism is not just a leisure activity; it is a major contributor to our financial well-being, contributing over $23 billion to our economy in 2022.

In the budget, Republicans allocated $20 million in one-time funding to help the Department of Tourism build out their marketing, along with a bump in the base marketing funding of $1 million. These funds will build on our past successful marketing strategies and reach even more people with information about why our state is one worth visiting.

In 2022, we saw over 100 million visits to our great state. In the budget, we provided $10 million for an opportunity and attraction promotion fund to attract major events to our state and bring in more visitors.

We also made significant investments in our state parks, which are a major tourist draw, with over $20 million for park upgrades, maintenance and development projects, campsite electrification, and amenities

Wisconsin has so much to offer and Legislative Republicans have made the investments to ensure that citizens from around the state, the Midwest, and beyond can experience our state’s recreational opportunities, natural resources, and culture.

That is with the exception of the left-wing Madison and Milwaukee area! Let's encourage these visitors with our reasonable government and maximum freedom and we need to expand our job opportunities and limit overbearing regulation. Let's discourage freeloaders and unproductive people, and offer a great standard of living for all people who work hard and are a positive contribution to Wisconsin!
