Liberal-Controlled County Enacts Civillian Review Board
I attended the La Crosse County board meeting on February 15th because they were discussing arguably one of the most important issues of the year: whether to proceed with a Civilian Review Board. Unfortunately, my opponent didn't feel the same way and was not present. What is that all about?
I was also disappointed to learn that no public input would be allowed. Had I been able to speak I would have stood with 70% of county residents and 90% of beat cops in opposition to this very bad idea. Sadly, the liberals who control county leadership ignored the majority view of the voters and approved this terrible policy.
A Civilian Review Board is the wrong message to send to the community and to the good men and women in law enforcement. All the time and resources spent on this effort doesn’t pave a single road, doesn’t bring high speed internet to our rural communities, and may make us LESS safe when it causes officers to leave law enforcement with fewer applicants to replace them because they are tired of being persecuted by bad policies.
When I am elected I will work to reverse this terrible policy (even if it means firing the staff who suggested it) so we can reset our priorities and focus on IMPROVING our Roads, Safety, & Infrastructure then return the savings to the taxpayers who deserve some tax relief.
I cannot do it alone. Please consider donating today and help me spread this message to the voters and win a better future for La Crosse County. Remember that Wisconsin law limits individual contributions to $500 per person. Please mail your check to:
