Future of APRN Modernization Act
This past Sunday, I was honored to appear on Channel 3000's For the Record show to discuss the future of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Modernization Act after it was recently vetoed by the governor.
The bipartisan APRN Modernization Act that I authored would have allowed registered nurses to practice independently without the need for a collaborative agreement with a physician.
Twenty-seven other states – including Minnesota and Iowa – have enacted comparable legislation to ensure that residents in underserved areas have more reliable and timely access to quality care.
