Since January 20, 2021, the Biden administration has systematically erased our southern border, enriched violent cartels and human traffickers, unleashed a tidal wave of illegal aliens and deadly drugs into our communities, and disrespected the millions of legal immigrants who followed our laws and came here the right way.

All you have to do is talk to your local sheriff, and they will tell you they have seen the number of fentanyl deaths rise exponentially in the past two years.

No one is immune from this crisis as the Biden administration’s open border policies have turned every state into a border state.

That’s why this week when the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, I was hoping to get him to come clean with the American people.

I played a clip of an Arizona sheriff, Mark Dannels, who has over 80 miles of the southern border in his county, telling me that he has seen the direct results of the fentanyl increase and the wide-open southern border. I asked Secretary Mayorkas directly if he agreed with his statement.

In almost unbelievable fashion, he claimed Sheriff Dannels was lying.

Now, I can tell you I trust Sheriff Dannels over someone who lives in Washington, D.C., and the facts back that up. According to The Washington Post, U.S. authorities estimate they are only catching 5 to 10 percent of the illegal fentanyl flooding across the southern border.

So why is the Biden administration complicit in letting these poisonings continue?

I also asked Secretary Mayorkas if he knew how many unvetted Afghans he paroled into our country during the botched Afghanistan withdrawal. He couldn’t answer the question. I followed up by asking him if he knew the amount of damage at Ft. McCoy that was caused by the Afghan evacuees – which totaled $145.6 million. He also refused to answer that.

These are basic questions that the person in charge of keeping our homeland safe should be able to answer.

Instead, he seems more interested in protecting cartels record-breaking profits, encouraging illegal immigration, and allowing drug and human trafficking to continue. I joined Steve Bannon to discuss that here.

Here’s the bottom line: If Mr. Mayorkas is going to continue to lie to the American people, the only other option we have left is to begin an impeachment inquiry.

House Republicans already did our job and passed the Secure the Border Act to get operational control of our southern border and provide our hardworking Border Patrol agents with a much-needed bonus.

Sadly, it continues to await action in the Senate, where majority Democrats are holding it up.
