Re-Charging the Batteries

Attending the La Crosse County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner left me feeling truly re-charged. Hats off to the Cedar Creek team for a terrific meal and hospitality, and to the event organizers for keeping everything on schedule with a flawless sound system and superb music.

The evening was filled with motivation and friendship - exactly what many of us needed as we prepare for a pivotal election cycle. Congressman Tom Tiffany’s reminder about the power of Liberty gave me renewed energy to help spread the truth:

Too Early for the Spring Election?

Is it too early for serious talk about the 2026 Spring Elections? There may not be a good answer to that question. After all, there are just over 100 days before nominations papers must be completed and turned-in. And then there are another almost hundred days before the April 7, 2026 Spring Election Day. While potential candidates should be plotting campaign strategy, citizens will soon tire of the seemingly endless barrage of campaign communications. So, the question remains: Is it too early for serious talk about the 2026 spring elections?

7 To Go

A lot of people call these the dog days of summer – but that’s not the case with our campaign. We’ve been working harder than ever.

If you’re like me, you think it’s about time for grassroots conservatives to have a candidate that works as hard as they do. Who wants it as bad as they do. Who understands what’s truly at stake in this election.

Our safety. Our communities. Our future.

I’ve heard the same thing in each of the 65 counties I’ve visited so far.

Senator Johnson's dedication, clarity of purpose, and an unyielding commitment to fiscal responsibility

As a lifelong Wisconsinite, I have watched with appreciation and admiration as Senator Ron Johnson has served our great state with dedication, clarity of purpose, and an unyielding commitment to fiscal responsibility and transparency. In an era plagued by ballooning deficits and all-too-frequent stories of government corruption, it is both reassuring and inspiring to have a leader in Washington who not only recognizes these threats but takes active steps to combat them.

With Congress back in session, I wanted to take a moment to share what I worked on throughout Wisconsin’s Third District during the August Recess:

To kick off the month, I hosted a business roundtable at Altmann Construction Co. with over 50 representatives from the construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and agricultural industries in the Third District. I will always work to ensure our local business owners have the tools and resources they need to succeed and keep WI-03 great.

'On the Job' at Central WI Airport

For my most recent “On the Job” stop, I was able to work a shift at the Central Wisconsin Airport, which is co-owned by Portage and Marathon counties.

Since I was first elected to the Wisconsin State Senate in 2016, I have regularly spent a day "On the Job" with local employers to get a better understanding of their operations and to highlight the employment opportunities available in our area. My "On the Job" visits also allow me to see firsthand how the decisions we make in Madison impact our local communities.

I hope that you and your family had an excellent Labor Day weekend!

For the first time, my wife and I decided to host two foreign exchange students. Today is their first day of school in the United States. Since they've arrived, we've tried to show them many American pastimes by taking them to our church picnic, a county fair, a baseball game, and a Wisconsin Badgers football game. Attending the Badgers game proved to be one of their favorite experiences so far.

I recently attended an event on the creative economy in Southwestern Wisconsin. I spoke with representatives from Create Wisconsin, the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, regional economic development corporations, and a number of stakeholders in the local creative economy about the importance of the arts to our region.

Trouble figuring it out?

Recently, CBS has had to pay a large cash settlement related to what they did with an interview with Kamala Harris. One headline read, "Paramount agrees to pay $16 million to settle Trump's CBS lawsuit."

They seem to be having trouble figuring some things out. Here is an example from a recent Face the Nation.
