Lessons from Speaker Selection

Here are a few lessons that I learned while observing the process that Congress went through to select a new Speaker of the House:

  1. Congressional representatives in the Republican Party are independently minded and have the courage to face difficult situations head on. While I believe the rule that allows just one member to vacate the speaker is the wrong approach, members of Congress used that authority to face serious issues about how our Congress is bankrupting the nation.
  2. The Democrats and the media were successful in twisting the narrative away from the fiscal mis-management of our government and pivot to stories about chaos in the Republican Party.
  3. If the media is any indication then the American electorate is filled with spoiled little babies always looking for quick and easy answers.
  4. The founders of this nation did not design it to work efficiently and quickly. They did not want a cabal of tyrants running the country at the expense of the people’s Liberty. They designed a system that protects the people. It does this through a series of checks and balances on the reins of power.

It saddens me that so many friends and neighbors have been conditioned to expect quick and easy results from the government.

Wake up!

Government is the problem, not the solution! Do some soul searching and examine within your own heart why you want a government that can quickly confiscate your hard earned money and bankrupt the nation. Every time an American turns to the government for answers a piece of our Liberty dies and I’m not sure if there is any of it left after decades of erosion.

That says a mouthful!

We need to note that we clearly now have a Constitutional decent individual and we did it without one single so-called Democrat, I guess that shows they can not vote for people who have a track record of standing up for pro-Constitution government. You would think that just a few might have the courage and insight to say yes, let's work together during this crisis we face on so many fronts.

Our new Speaker has great potential, but the sad reality will be that the selfish agenda-driven democrats will work to destroy him for political reasons. If by some minute chance, Speaker Mike Johnson has a Ronald Reagan ability to get Democrats to put American needs above politics, he may succeed. The problem is the John Kennedy democrats have been crushed by Marxists in the party.
