I am writing to you in earnest because this is an important issue that should concern everyone. In one of the most disgusting displays of religious intolerance I have ever seen from a public official, Josh Kaul attacked religious freedom yet again.

On October 20th, he filed a brief with the WI Supreme Court arguing to strike down a critical tax-exemption for ALL religious charities who are actively working to help some of our most impoverished and at-risk citizens:

Religious charities do work that is desperately needed. They help thousands of Wisconsin families in need, and they do not push their faith on people. They simply offer spiritual guidance along with food & housing assistance.

Josh Kaul tried to single out Catholic Charities, and the US Supreme Court struck down his case in a unanimous 9-0 decision. Now he's asking the courts to strip a tax exemption away from all religious charities in Wisconsin.

This is a battle cry to all true conservatives. We cannot allow attacks against ANY faith-based charities.

The public assistance they provide is noble, effective, and needed, especially as some families struggle to make ends meet.
