Earlier this month, US District Court for the District of Idaho Judge David Nye upheld Idaho’s law that requires students with gender dysphoria to use the bathrooms and locker rooms based on their biological sex rather than their alleged gender identity.

Nye wrote, "The state of Idaho has an interest in protecting the privacy and safety of its youth while at school. It has written a law to achieve that goal…,” adding that it is the court’s duty to interpret the law, not make the law.

Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, a conservative legal organization that has supported the state law, called this ruling a "commonsense decision."

"The Idaho law is meant to protect children's safety and privacy. It can be humiliating, demeaning and unsafe for children to be exposed to the opposite sex," he said. "Biology is fixed at birth, and children with gender confusion need counseling, not access to the private spaces of the opposite gender."

Wisconsin also has an interest in protecting the privacy and safety of its youth while at school. That’s why the legislature should pass, and the governor should sign, the Protect Women’s Sports bills. The bills not only ensure fair athletic competitions by keeping biological males out of girls’ sports, but they also help keep biological males out of girls’ locker rooms.

Anyone who uses or tries to use the restroom or showering facility of the opposite sex should be prosecuted. We must stop allowing people with unusual patterns to assault our young people. Have some guts and speak up! You may not realize it, but this is an assault on you also!
