It's time for a CHANGE in Madison.

Help Eric Toney kick off the new year with renewed enthusiasm and support to make Wisconsin safe for families like yours!

Here are FIVE solid reasons to FIRE Josh Kaul this year:

1* Josh Kaul HAMMERED his predecessor for delays in processing forensic tests, but Kaul made the problem even worse as he prioritized only the most politically advantageous, partisan cases.

Earlier today, I was proud to testify in front of the Senate Agriculture and Revenue Committee on my bipartisan legislation that would help save the hemp industry in Wisconsin.

Before hemp was basically banned across the country by the federal Controlled Substances Act of 1970, Wisconsin was the national leader in the cultivation of the versatile plant. Hemp can be used to make such products as cosmetics, personal care items, dietary supplements, cloth cordage, fiber, fuel, clothing, paint and paper.

I ended 2025 doing several interviews with various media outlets to recap our victories in 2025, such as passing our bipartisan 2025-2027 budget and delivering meaningful tax relief, and previewed what to expect in 2026 as Republicans will look to introduce legislation to address property taxes, affordability, overtime & tips, newborn accounts, and more. Assembly Republicans will continue to fight to ensure Wisconsin is a place that people can move to, start a family, own a home, and remain here throughout their lives.

A debate that began quietly on Monday morning quickly became a defining civic moment for the City of La Crosse. Word spread that the City Council’s Judiciary & Administration Committee was preparing to consider a resolution that would eliminate the long-standing practice of opening council meetings with a brief prayer.

In the past 7 years I have written about Term Limits on at least three occasions. Term Limits has been a “hot topic” issue since the early 1990s in the contemporary United States but early concerns on the topic were expressed in the Revolutionary War era. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators that would leave their normal productive employment and go to the Nation’s Capital a few months each year and then return home to continue their normal employment. Further, after a term or two it would be someone else’s turn to serve his country by going to Congress.

An Attitude of Gratitude

Not too many weeks ago I read an AMAC Magazine article titled; "Unending Gratitude: How the 'Honor Flight' Network is Giving Back to America’s Veteran Heroes." As I read the article, I quickly realized there were two groups being recognized. The first, of course, were the Veterans from World War II, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam War. The second includes all the patriotic freedom loving Americans that support the Honor Flights with their time, volunteer efforts, and financial assistance to give proper recognition to the first group!

I applaud the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announcement that Wisconsin will receive $203,670,005 through the Rural Health Transformation Program, part of a historic $50 billion investment created under President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts legislation to strengthen and modernize rural health care across America.
