Governor Evers Attempts to Redefine Motherhood

LifeSite News reports that Governor Evers’ budget recommendations for the 2025-2027 fiscal period fixated primarily on removing sex-specific language from numerous parts of state law. Evers’ proposal replaces “wife” and “husband” with “spouse,” “father” with “parent,” and, most notably, “mother” with “inseminated person” and “parent who gave birth to the child.” This follows in the footsteps of proposals that suggest using the term “chestfeeding” rather than “breastfeeding” because it is allegedly “more inclusive.”

I had the honor of attending the swearing-in ceremony for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after being confirmed Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The ceremony was held in the Oval Office, a unique honor.

I'm looking forward to working with Secretary Kennedy in his commitment to radical transparency and conquering chronic illness. I believe this is a watershed moment for America.

Since the beginning of our legislative session in January, much of my attention has been focused on the state budget. The budget will continue to be my primary focus until it is signed into law. However, I also wanted to share a few of my other legislative priorities for this session with you.

The American people gave President Trump a clear mandate, and he is delivering on his promise to put America first. During the four years of disastrous leadership from former President Biden and Vice President Harris, our nation faced the worst border crisis in history, crippling inflation, record-high gas prices, and strategic weakness that brought us closer to WWIII than ever before.

Our Money in Washington

With all the news of the DOGE findings and other incentives to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal government – in Washington, D.C. and all across the country – “they” must remember that the money involved belongs to “we the people” meaning you and me. Much of the entrenched government bureaucracy and even many elected Democrats may try to tell you differently!

In Defense of Lower Taxes

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has uncovered up to $55 billion in wasteful spending and that is the tip of the iceberg according to multiple sources.

Imagine what your family could have done with that money instead of it being wasted in the swamps of Washington, D.C.

Our family is preparing for the wedding of our oldest child this year. Simultaneously, I'm preparing my taxes and it appears I'll be forced to cut back on my generosity of gifts I was planning to give for the wedding because my taxes are higher than I anticipated.

What is the base budget?

The State Capitol has been a busy place lately. The revolving door in my office never stops turning. Every day I meet with constituents, stakeholders, and interest groups about their priorities for the legislative session. These meetings are largely focused on the budget and are requests to spend your tax dollars on their preferred proposals.

Well worth a listen. Integrity. Pride. Humility. Goosebumps.
