Not Your Father's Democrat Party

John Kennedy was a remarkable person; he took the bull by the horns and inspired America. I was 11 years old when he was assassinated and remember that day like it was yesterday. Kennedy gave us a mandate; "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." What a great concept, that mentality made America great. Everyone pitching in, working hard, taking personal responsibility, providing for ourselves and our families.

Kennedy gave us another challenge; as a country we were going to reach the moon in just a few short years. That goal was almost inconceivable, but we did it, and I am still amazed. What happened to Kennedy's Democrat party? They were common people who were determined to make things happen. No obstacle was too big, we could work hard and take care of ourselves and we did.

The Democrat party has changed direction; they would like to be nice to everyone, and help everyone, and that is a great concept. There are some who think we need to take America in the direction of socialism and while I will help anyone who needs help, they need to be willing to work as hard as I do, and if they do, we can all benefit from this great country that we were born into. We have not always been perfect, and still are not, but we do have a wonderful country.

I would like to encourage all of you great Americans who voted for Kennedy to take a look at the big picture and consider who will give your grandchildren a more stable country, with opportunities to make a good living and a secure life. The modern democrat has taken the idea that we can take from the general tax fund and help everyone, and that will not work, we need an opportunity to get ahead for everyone, but not at the expense of others, like Kennedy told us, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. This is not about us; this is about our children and their future!

Who will save the world as America did in the world wars? America is great and has sustained itself all these years because we have a great Constitution. We must embrace John Kennedy's direction for America, our citizens need to be part of the team and we all must "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

"Your Father's Democrat Party" started changing almost sixty years ago and has slowly deteriorated until recently -- maybe a decade and a half ago. Then, it moved at tsunami speed in January of this year.
In 1960 the Democrats decided to balance their national ticket with the New England Conservative Democrat John Kennedy on top with the Liberal Texan Southern Democrat Lyndon B. Johnson as Vice President. Kennedy is known for "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". After Kennedy's assassination Johnson could have asked "What can your country can do for you?" as he became known for the Great Society and the War on Poverty.
The next notable change was when the Democrats nominated and the country elected a community organizer from Chicago that was much more active in changing the Democrat Party and the country towards socialism and Marxism. The most recent dramatic change was when the current President entered the White House and did everything possible to change, undo, and or remove everything the previous President had accomplished -- even to the detriment to the economy and security of the country. Senator Schumer (D-NY), Speaker Pelosi (D-CA), and "the squad" have all helped expedite the change towards socialism & Marxism.
But, all is not lost with Senator Joe Munchin (D-WV), Sen Krysten SInema (D_AZ), and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) showing moments of common sense and putting patriotism over partisanship. Maybe Senators Munchin and Sinema should leave the Democrat Party, become Independent, and caucus with the Republicans!
Maybe we should write to the two Senators and make that suggestion?

I could not let your comment on the "War on Poverty" pass without mentioning the success of that program. Well, 15 Trillion dollars later, we have only pushed many more people into poverty, and dependency on government. 15 trillion is not much, but when written out $15,000,000,000,000 it is a lot! Many think it is far more than that, and it clearly is when you add the damage it has caused.

There is a great deal of info available on this subject, but for those who want to see one of our failures in attempted socialism, this one shows total failure. Before this program started, there was a small welfare budget, and the churches took care of much of the problems. Nowadays, we have every church, school, community food bank, multiple city, county, state, and federal programs, and the poverty rate is higher than ever.

The War On Poverty was a war on Families, not poverty, it is an extreme failure of socialism. The way to help people in need, is to tell them upfront, we will help, but three months from today, you must be on your own feet, and contributing to society. And yes some can't do that, but most can when they get hungry!
