In Defense of the Second Amendment

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution very clearly states,

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

In the Supreme Court decision Heller versus D.C. the justices re-affirmed the point of the Second Amendment is that all individuals have the personal right to keep and bear arms.

In a sane world that would be enough to end the debate, however, we do not live in a sane world. We live in a world full of power hungry Democrat Marxists who wish to control each and every one of us through our daily activities. These diabolical efforts, supported by nearly all Democrats, include measures that would treat law abiding citizens the same as sex offenders. That’s right, I said it!

These diabolical efforts would force good Christian law-abiding citizens to register in the same manner that a pedophile is forced to register with local officials. What terrible offense must these good Christian law-abiding citizens have committed to require such drastic measures?

They have the audacity to own a gun.

Make no mistake. Marxist Democrats in Congress are seeking diabolical ways like this to circumvent the clearly written wording of the United States Constitution.

It is for this reason that I propose the following legislation so La Crosse County can help protect its citizens from these attacks by tyrants in Washington, D.C. Many other counties in Wisconsin have already passed similar legislation. It is time for La Crosse County to protect us too.

WHEREAS, the unalienable Right of the People to Keep and Bear arms is guaranteed and has been reaffirmed in the Heller vs. D.C. Supreme Court decision as an individual right under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and also under the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin, Article 1, Section 25 — “the people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose”; and

WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Wisconsin, and all members of the Wisconsin State Legislature, and Wisconsin representatives to Congress, each having been elected to their respective offices by the citizens of the State of Wisconsin, have each been duly sworn by their Oath of Office to uphold the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, all La Crosse County Board members, each having been elected to represent the People of La Crosse County, have each been duly sworn by their Oath of Office to uphold the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors in session that the La Crosse County Board recognizes and reaffirms their individually sworn Oaths of Office to uphold the entirety of the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Wisconsin and we hereby urge the Governor and all members of the Wisconsin State Legislature and our Wisconsin representatives to Congress to do likewise.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the La Crosse County Board hereby opposes any Executive or Legislative action under consideration by the President of the United States, the Congress of the United States, the Governor or the Wisconsin State Legislature, which would abrogate, diminish or in any way infringe upon the Second Amendment Rights of the citizens of La Crosse County, which if implemented would ban or impose additional regulations regarding the possession of and use of any firearms, firearm accessories, magazines, and ammunition employed by the individual citizens of La Crosse County for their personal defense of life, liberty and property.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the La Crosse County Board opposes any executive or legislative action under consideration by the President of the United States, the Congress of the United States, the Governor or the Wisconsin State Legislature, which would implement any firearms confiscation or “buy back” laws, implement any universal background checks or firearms owner ID requirements, or cause the establishment of a punitive tax on the purchase or possession of firearms, firearm accessories, magazines and ammunition.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the La Crosse County Board opposes any executive or Legislative action under consideration by the President of the United States, the Congress of the United States, the Governor or the Wisconsin State Legislature, which would implement any type of “red flag law” which would abrogate, diminish, or in any way infringe upon the full legal rights of due process, as guaranteed to all citizens in La Crosse County.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the La Crosse County Board authorizes the La Crosse County Sheriff and deputies to apprehend anyone who harrasses a citizen within La Crosse County regardless of their state or federal credentials when such harassment is in a cause to uphold an unConstitutional order such as a federal agent attempting to enforce an illegal order by the President of the United States.

Print this document and hand it to your county board supervisor today. Demand that they present it at their next session and get it passed.

I realize this will raise many questions and I welcome them. It is time that We the People boldly defend our Constitutional rights and our God-given authority over our own lives. This is no laughing matter. When federal agents come to enforce the illegal orders of tyrants then which side will you be on? Will you stand with the Constitution of the United States or will you cower to the whims of tyrannical mob rule? Choose wisely. I miss America.

Any Board member who does not move aggressively for this will have far more problems in the future. And to repeat facts, if we restrict the Second Amendment, criminals go unchecked, as they simply don't follow the rules.

You will not take guns away from the people, we are not caving to your illogical violations of our rights. And yes if you try, we may still defend your rights, someone has to look out for the weak minded politicians, even though they should be locked up for violating their oath of office.
