State Superintendent of Public Instruction Candidates

November 28, 2020 - 17:34

Ballots for the Presidential election are still being recounted in Dane and Milwaukee Counties. Lawsuits in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and a few other states concerning the Presidential election are making news. Wisconsin will probably be on this list in a week or so. And the Primary Election for State Superintendent of Public Instruction (SSPI) will happen in mid-February; less than three months from now.

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 24, 2020 - 15:30

This year has given us many challenges and hardships with the outbreak of the coronavirus. For those who are working on the front lines of the pandemic this Thanksgiving, we thank you. And for those who have lost a loved one this year, our thoughts and prayers are with you. This Thanksgiving, no matter how you celebrate, I hope you join Michelle and me in reflecting on all that is good around us. We live in the greatest state in the greatest country in the world.

New COVID Initiatives

November 22, 2020 - 09:15

Assembly Republican colleagues and I put forward new policy initiatives to help address the coronavirus surge in Wisconsin. The package of ideas include building a robust testing system, doubling the number of contact tracers, assisting the healthcare industry, ensuring an efficient distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, requiring Unemployment Insurance reform and helping small businesses. The goal is to find a consensus so the legislature can act on a bipartisan package in order to better utilize the CARES Act funding that runs out at the end of the year.

From Poverty to Prosperity Through Liberty

While it is true that an Indian showed Pilgrims how to use dried fish/ fish parts as fertilizer, the harvest was not abundant in 1621 nor 1622. Over half of the colonists died due to starvation and its attendant illnesses (the winter of 1620 - 21 claimed the majority). The governor of the colony, William Bradford, reported that the colonists went hungry because they refused to work in the fields.

Investigation Called For

November 06, 2020 - 22:24

I am directing the committee to use its investigatory powers under Wisconsin SS 13.31 to immediately review how the election was administered. With concerns surfacing about mail-In ballot dumps and voter fraud, Wisconsin citizens deserve to know their vote counted. There should be no question as to whether the vote was fair and legitimate, and there must be absolute certainty that the impending recount finds any and all irregularities.

Wisconsin's 3rd District

November 04, 2020 - 15:44

I would like to congratulate Congressman Kind on his reelection. Sara Jane and I will continue praying for Ron and his family as we do for all of our elected leaders.

I would like to thank my wife Sara Jane, our family, and the hundreds and hundreds of volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to this campaign. We are first and foremost Wisconsinites and Americans and we support our elected leaders.

God bless Wisconsin and the United States of America.
