Reports from my friends who were on the floor serving as delegates at the RNC in Milwaukee confirm a feeling that I am sensing from home watching the events remotely: there is _real_ unity happening in America. Not empty words, not cheap political rhetoric, but _real_ love for this country and a desire to reset our moral compass. Unfortunately, Democrats and their propaganda peddlers in the media are still obsessed with their effort to fundamentally transform America into a Marxist hell hole. Would someone please give them the memo that we’re done being held hostage by their lies and hatred?

The unity was manifested in the three speeches given by Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, and Ron DeSantis who overwhelmingly threw their support behind Donald Trump to be our next president of the United States. Let’s do the math, Monday night's speech by the Teamster's union president then the Tuesday night speeches by JD Vance - former critic and now Trump’s V.P. pick, Vivek Ramaswamy - ran in the primary to defeat Trump and now FULLY endorses him for president, Nikki Haley - primary opponent and vocal critic of Trump and now FULLY endorses him for president, Ron DeSantis - primary opponent who now FULLY endorses Trump for president. While Biden uses the words 'unity' his actions only divide us. In contrast, Donald Trump is doing the hard work to become the most unifying president in recent American history!

America has always had a magical way of bringing out our best on our very worst days. In my lifetime, I can recall this type of magic on September 11, 2001. On our very worst day, under attack by vicious radical thugs, America’s best first responders were racing into the World Trade towers in their effort to save as many lives as possible. In a moment when murderers were taking control of an airliner over Pennsylvania, courageous Americans on board refused to be prey and they fought back in order to save people on the ground.

Fast forward to recent days. Always remember July 13th. That will be my constant reminder to my fellow Americans from this day forward. On another worst day in America, President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt and the best of America, a defiant and strong leader, emerged with his fist in the air inspiring us to ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ In the hours following the attack I watched reports of Americans from all over the country bowing their heads in prayer. We did not burn down cities or violently march through the streets. We went to church, we prayed with our friends and families, and we sought strength and peace from our Heavenly Father to overcome the hatred that has been spread for months and years by irresponsible media corporations.

Then, just a few hours after surviving an assassin’s bullet, President Trump arrived at the Republican National Convention to accept the nomination to be our candidate for president and the crowd went wild. As the crowd was cheering their love for him, however, President Trump was humble and thankful. Watching from home I counted at least 50 times that he was looking at people and mouthing the words, ‘Thank You.’ Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions that a human can practice. In a leader like President Trump, gratitude is just as powerful as love because it requires genuine humility which comes from love. You could feel the love he has for this country and for the people who make it so special.

Love of God, family, and country. Those are the values that all patriotic Americans share regardless of their political party and it was so refreshing to see President Trump embrace those values this week when accepting the nomination. You could see from his demeanor that he is much more serious and more thankful than ever. After all the lies, the financial attacks, the criminal attacks, the fake impeachments, and fake prosecutions, President Trump perseveres through all of it and even survives an assassin's plot. He has earned another term as president because his love of country is even more powerful than we imagined.
