Will Your Vote be the One that Tips the Balance?
I’m running for County Board because I believe local government should work for the people who live here—not outside interests, not political insiders, and not career politicians who have lost touch with the community. Our county deserves leadership that focuses on the basics: safe roads, responsible budgeting, and transparent decision-making. Too often, government grows disconnected from the everyday concerns of working families. I’m stepping forward to bring common sense, accountability, and a renewed focus on serving you.
If elected, here’s what I will work to accomplish:
- Restore Fiscal Discipline: Prioritize core services, reduce unnecessary spending, and ensure your tax dollars are used efficiently and responsibly. In short, I will protect tax payers and fight to lower the cost of government so we can bring property taxes back in line.
- Increase Transparency and Accountability: Make county decisions more accessible and understandable so you always know how and why decisions are being made. In short, you will always know what is on my mind and the actions I'm taking to protect you from out-of-control bureacracy.
- Focus on Core Responsibilities: Invest in roads, public safety, and infrastructure—while resisting distractions that pull resources away from what matters most. In short, I will fight to shift local government away from partisan agendas and back to the core functions that everyone expects. It's time our communities got serious about law & order, better roads, and reliable broadband Internet.
This election is shaping up to be a classic David versus Goliath contest. My opponent has taken in hundreds of thousands of dollars from special interest groups, including donors far outside our community. In contrast, our campaign is powered by neighbors—people like you—who care about the future of this county. History shows that money can amplify a message, but it cannot replace the voice of the people. When thousands of voters speak—through their ballots—their collective voice will drown out the noise of outside money and political influence. As I put it recently in an online video, "The whispers of thousands of voters can drown out the corruption."
Your vote is more powerful than you might think. Local elections are often decided by just a handful of votes, and every single ballot helps shape the future of our community. I pray that I've earned your vote. For the future of our county and the prosperity of your family, get out to the polls on Tuesday and use that vote wisely. Your vote might be the one that tips the balance back to common sense policies and away from the existing bias toward special interests and partisan agendas.
