Spending the Day in La Crosse
This week, I was able to visit with businesses, law enforcement, and constituents in La Crosse and have productive discussions about how we can continue working together to improve the lives of folks in Wisconsin’s Third District.
I started off my day by meeting with Josh Neumann, a local realtor. We had a great discussion about strengthening real estate opportunities and supporting realtors in the area.
Next, I met with La Crosse Police Chief Shawn Kudron to discuss school safety, the important work of our school resource officers, and how we can work together to combat other challenges facing our community like crime rates, homelessness, and drug misuse and abuse.
I enjoyed stopping by Aquinas High School where I met with Principal Andrew Bradley and toured the campus. I also had the opportunity to address the senior government class where I shared my experience being your Member of Congress.
I also visited the West Salem Police Department where I met with Chief Holzhausen, Captain O’Neill, and community administrators. During our meeting, we discussed the needs of the department so that they can continue to best serve the community and keep folks safe.
To close out the day, I toured La Crosse Beverage and was able to see their distribution process for a variety of domestic and important brands of beer, root beer, sodas, and waters.

How did we get so lucky!
I guess suffering years of condescending/patronizing from Wrong Kind we must have been in line for a real treat in the form of Derrick Van Orden, a real representative!
