I recently had the opportunity to join Congressman Derrick Van Orden and state Sen. Cory Tomczyk for a small business roundtable at Altmann Construction in Wisconsin Rapids.

The purpose of the gathering was to hear from business owners about the bureaucratic red tape that prevents them from being able to hire more employees.

According to a study by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, Wisconsin is ranked as the 13th most regulated state in the country. This is mainly due to all the regulatory rules set by our state agencies.

I would like to thank all the local employers who came out to share their thoughts and I look forward to continuing our work together to make Wisconsin more business friendly.
