Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced that it has filed a lawsuit with the state Supreme Court asking the court to interpret the State Constitution regarding the so-called "right" of a woman to have an abortion. At the core of this petition is Article I, Section 1 of the Declaration of Rights in our State Constitution, which reads: “All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights; among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Amazingly, Planned Parenthood says these inherent rights include self-determination, which includes having an abortion. Of course, the abortion giant is completely ignoring the first and most basic inherent right—life. At the moment of conception, a new human life, distinct from the mother, is formed. That human, even in its earliest development, deserves the right to life.
