I wanted to update you on what the House of Representatives is doing to combat rising costs.

For two years, American energy dominance has been under attack at your expense. CNN reports that home heating costs have risen by as much as 45 percent, and farmers tell me that fertilizer and other input costs have skyrocketed thanks to a crippled supply chain and unprecedented government spending.

This week, my colleagues and I passed the Lower Energy Costs Act, which enhances America’s ability to develop critical energy resources. That’s good for our energy sector that has been crippled by this administration’s policies, and it’s good for you, the consumer, when you fill up at the pump. I’m proud to have supported this bill, as it’s one way that we can make life better for Wisconsin families and all Americans.
