How is Inflation Impacting Your Holiday Season?
As we approach the end of the year, many folks are preparing for their holiday shopping and travels. However, with families spending $709 more each month than they did two years ago for the exact same goods and services, it’s understandable that many are concerned about affording these prices over the next few months.
Due to inflation, Americans are spending more while getting less – this is a direct result of years of Washington’s reckless spending.
Inflation is a tax on hardworking Americans’ dollars. In Washington, I’m working to reign in runaway government spending and lower the cost of living. Earlier this year, I was proud to help secure the House passage of the REIN IN Inflation Act and the Lower Energy Costs Act. These will help lower energy costs and stop needless government spending.

Inflation is forever!
So when you have to pay more for things, that hits you very hard and continues in many ways. For example, if you get a 30-year mortgage, that might as well be forever. You spend a fortune on gas, and food, that was money that did not go into your retirement investment. These kind of examples go on and on. Remember we had almost no inflation under Donald Trump, back when we had real leadership.
