Honoring Fathers This June
Maybe you’re like me and you’re discouraged with events that took place this last week. Governor Evers raised the “pride” flag, sports teams elevated LGBT lifestyles, and the LGBT+ Caucus in Wisconsin’s Capitol introduced a radical legislative package.
One of the bills in this package even went as far as eliminating every reference to “mother”, “father”, “husband”, and “wife” in state law.
If the legislature is truly seeking to promote healthy families and a flourishing Wisconsin, they should search for solutions this June that promote fatherhood and the family instead of erasing mothers and fathers. You can read my full response to this proposed legislation in a press release we published yesterday, HERE.
This June, we will not sit on the sidelines while some seek to eliminate fathers in a month set aside to celebrate them. Now more than ever before we need to stand together in honoring and promoting fatherhood in Wisconsin.
Would you please consider joining us in this fight to honor fathers and promote God’s good design for the family? Right now, with the help of generous friends we have a $25,000 Match campaign to double your impact.
Honor your father or a father figure of yours today with $25, $250, or more, in keeping with our “25k for ’25” theme, so that Wisconsin Family Action can continue to fight for family values in our beautiful state. CLICK HERE to make a contribution. We hope you’ll leave a comment or memory of your dad to be shared on social media (first names only).
Prayer Request
I don’t normally add another section like this to my emails, but would you please pray for my wife, Victoria, and me? This Father’s Day season will be our hardest yet.
Tomorrow was supposed to be our first child, Dani’s first birthday. However, we lost Dani due to an ectopic pregnancy in 2023. My wife and I were planning to share with you this week that we were expecting another child. Catastrophically, we discovered in a follow up ultrasound that we lost the baby a couple of weeks ago. Please pray for us as we continue to grieve.
Events like all of these can leave us discouraged. However, we truly believe that God will use these unfortunate circumstances for Him and His glory. Join us in prayer and in standing for families as we celebrate dads this month.
Blessings,
Daniel Degner, President
P.S. We’d love to have you join us for the March For Life Wisconsin on Saturday, June 14, from 2-4 p.m. at the Wisconsin State Capitol. You can find more information, including bussing options, HERE.
