With Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, we pause to honor the daily, often unseen impact of mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in the lives of children everywhere. Their influence and love are irreplaceable. Mothers have the extraordinary calling of shaping the hearts and minds of their children. Their presence provides the security that frees children to explore, learn, and grow. Through everyday moments, moms are building a legacy.

Scripture highlights this sacred influence in 2 Timothy 1:5. Paul writes,“I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.” Generations are changed when mothers pray with their children, open the Bible at the kitchen table, show up at bedtime with a blessing, and model forgiveness. In countless homes, the journey of faith begins with a mother’s gentle voice and persevering love.

This Mother’s Day, let’s remember those who have had this profound impact on our lives and recognize all they do. Take time to thank and honor the women in your life who have loved you, invested in you, and been an example for you. Dads, be sure your children know how much you love and value their mother!
