Federal Spending is Out of Control

I've developed this new chart to show just how out of control spending is. In fiscal year 2019 spending was $4.4 trillion. Since then, it's up 56% to $6.9 trillion.

My chart shows a baseline based on population and inflation. Using that control fiscal year 2024 spending would have been $5.6 trillion instead of the actual $6.9 trillion, and the deficit would have been $500 billion vs. the actual $1.8 trillion. Had we used that simple control, total debt would be $8.8 trillion less today.

The uniparty has deviously converted discretionary into mandatory spending – enabling them to spend a lot more. This chart shows Other Mandatory Spending (OMS) has increased $681 billion since fiscal year 2019 – almost as much as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid combined.

The new Department of Government Efficiency should seriously look at the $1.3 trillion in OMS for signification savings.
