My approach would be a very clear signal of freedom of speech. I am not sure they will hear it as America has our share of government mandates and heavy overbearing interference in our Citizen's freedoms. While we are assured of individual rights, in our Constitution, they are commonly violated by the government.
I feel we can accomplish more by setting a good example, tyrant leaders do not hear scolding, but they do see good examples.
