Be a Lead Blocker for the President

I recently had a great conversation with friends that helped me put words to something I’ve believed for a long time—not just in politics, but in life: treat it like a football game.

I played high school football. Those who know me are probably chuckling right now—yes, I was undersized and not exactly a star player. Think Rudy, minus the movie ending. But I loved the strategy, the teamwork, and the idea that every single player matters. I even managed a couple of interceptions in JV because the quarterbacks didn't notice me out on the field!

The biggest lesson I learned from football is that no one wins alone. You can have the best quarterback—or running back—in the world, but if the offensive line doesn't block, the play goes nowhere. Success takes the whole team doing their part.

Right now, President Trump is the running back, and we just handed him the ball in November. It’s up to us to block for him—to make a path for success. That means getting loud, getting involved, and telling your story. Write letters to the editor. Come to your local GOP meetings. Speak out in your communities. Call into local talk radio. You don’t need to be Shakespeare; you just need to be real. Authenticity and passion go further than polished speeches ever will.

Making America Great Again wasn’t about just one election—it’s a movement. If we want to see our traditional American values defended and our priorities achieved, we need to stay active. So, let’s clear the path. Let’s be the lead blockers for the President and keep pushing the right American agenda forward.
