This week I was joined by Senator Van Wanggaard for several listening sessions on the upcoming 2021-2023 biennial state budget. Thank you to everyone who attended virtually or came to the in-person meetings in Sturtevant and Burlington. Assembly Republicans across the state have held local listening sessions and we are all excited to get to work crafting a responsible budget.

State Budget Background:

Is Justice by Mob Rule Really Justice?

An extraordinary event in American history, from hero to felon and from felon to hero. No one is telling the complete history of George Floyd, but someone must. Will BLM attempt to intimidate any disclosure of this man's complete history?

It took nine minutes and 29 seconds to turn an American hero into a felon, and in that same time frame we turned an American felon thug into a hero.

Derek Chauvin got up and went out on the streets to help maintain peace and justice, like he had for many years.

Last week, Assembly Republicans passed a package of bills that mapped out sound spending plans for the one-time federal stimulus dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The bills would have made sure there was a clear plan on how the $3.2 billion in discretionary funds from the federal government would be prioritized to help Wisconsin grow and thrive after the pandemic.

The Future of the Supreme Court of the United States

My Fellow Americans, this is the biggest assault on America and our Constitution since its ratification. America is great for one reason, and it is our Constitution. This attack on America is about one thing: seizing control of the Supreme Court in order to destroy the Supreme Court and our Rule of Law. The Democrat power mongers will pick and choose what they like and don't like, and they don't like much.

Should Christians Protest?

Fellow Christians have recently brought to my attention the following passage:

Romans 13:1-2 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority
except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by
God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has
instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

  1. Should Wisconsin increase its state budget by $3.2 Billion? Do we want to increase taxes in Wisconsin by $1.6 billion? If Governor Tony Evers has
his way, both of these things will happen.

Let’s talk more about the state budget while we all enjoy some brats and (non-alcoholic) beverages!

Join Tim Jensen and our Americans for Prosperity community in La Crosse for a Backyard Barbeque on Saturday, May 15th at Noon!

The Wisconsin State Assembly convened its April floor session on Tuesday with the focus on the top priorities of our constituents: good roads, broadband expansion, property tax relief and support for small businesses. Assembly Republicans brought forward a package of bills that map out sound spending plans for the one-time federal stimulus dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

La Crosse Area Legislators Oppose Fair Elections

Jill Billings (D-La Crosse) and Steve Doyle (D-Onalaska) recently voted against Wisconsin Assembly Resolution 15 which simply called on the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections to investigate how elections are administered in our state and ensure that laws are being followed or gather the details necessary that might lead to ways of repairing the procedures.

Why are local Democrats opposed to following the election laws? Do they ever consider the dire consequences of their lawless behaviors?

Here is the wording they opposed:

There are times that it seems Democrats forget they're spending your hard-earned money. Since the beginning of the 2021-22 legislative session, Republicans have been working to ensure your voice is heard regarding the allocation of the federal stimulus dollars.

Dearest Father in heaven,
You have been so very generous with your gifts. You have blessed America with the most prosperous and free society in the history of the world. We thank you, deeply, for your grace and mercy and for guiding our people to build this nation.

Lord, as we approach another important election, I pray that you will grant the gift of discernment to our people. With so many lies and deceptions being spread by Democrats and their allies in the media, it is easy for our people to be led astray.

My Assembly Republican colleagues and I held press conferences around the state this week to announce how the $3.2 billion in state discretionary funds from the from the American Recue Plan Act of 2021 should be prioritized to help Wisconsinites. Yesterday, the governor vetoed the Truth in Spending Act, which created legislative oversight of those funds, choosing instead to determine where the funds should go on his own.
