All the years of calling and writing to Congressman Ron Kind, D-La Crosse, have paid off. He agreed with me about the Concealed Carry Reciprocity bill and voted in favor of it! It's very rare when we agree on anything so I especially wanted to point out this one. He is EXACTLY right when he writes,
"...if law-abiding Wisconsinites have passed the standard to hold a concealed carry permit and they follow the laws of the state they are visiting, they should be able to carry in all states where it is currently legal."
It turns out that I've been writing this article for many years - at least it feels that way when I consider how all these ideas have come together perfectly at this time. Putting words to this story is simply the next step in the evolution of the process. It is always during the Christmas season when thoughts of faith come to the fore of most Christian's conscience and sometimes there are events that truly make them come alive.

The United States House of Representatives FINALLY passed some truly common sense gun legislation. They passed a measure that will allow any law-abiding resident of any state to carry a concealed firearm even if that law-abiding citizen happens to cross the imaginary border into another state.
