According to new ICE data, over 425,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens and over 222,000 illegal aliens with pending criminal charges are residing in the U.S. right now. This data comes just a few weeks after an illegal alien, who is a member of the transnational violent Tren de Aragua, brutally assaulted a mother and her daughter right here in Prairie du Chien.

The Biden-Harris administration’s policies have made it evident that without strong borders, we put our entire country at risk. The complete intentional disregard for the rule of law by this administration is abhorrent, and every American life is at risk because of it. I’m committed to fixing our broken immigration system, which is why I have supported multiple pieces of legislation throughout my time in Congress to enhance security at our borders, support border patrol agents, and protect Americans.

I’m working to secure our borders and make our communities safe again:

  • Voted to pass H.R.2 – the Secure the Border Act of 2023, which is the most comprehensive border security package in our nation’s history
  • Voted to pass H.R. 467 – the HALT Fentanyl Act, to permanently classify fentanyl as a Schedule I drug and remove the incentive for the creation of new fentanyl-related substances
  • Voted to pass H.R. 7511 – the Laken Riley Act, which requires ICE to issue detainers and take custody of illegal aliens who commit theft-related crimes and allows state Attorney Generals to sue the Secretary of Homeland Security if immigration policy failures harm citizens
  • Voted to pass H.R. 5717 – the No Bailout for Sanctuary Cities Act, which ensures that sanctuary cities, counties, and states providing benefits to illegal aliens are ineligible for federal funds to assist illegal aliens
  • Voted to pass H.R. 7909 – the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, to ensure illegal aliens convicted of domestic violence or sex crimes are denied entry into the U.S. or deported from the U.S. if they have already crossed the border

Extensive reform to our immigration system is a necessity to undo the chaos caused by Border Czar Vice President Kamala Harris. Know that I will always put the safety and security of Americans first and will continue my work in Congress to restore order at our borders.
