Recently, a poll commissioned by a center-left group named "Welcome" revealed Democrats have severely weakened their party due to woke policies that the majority of their base view as out-of-touch.

The poll consulted hundreds of thousands of voters over 6 months to gather their opinions on the current state of the Democratic Party. Overall, the results showed Democrats have focused too much on fringe issues instead of issues that directly impact the day to day lives of citizens like securing the border and improving public safety. Prominent Democrat campaign officials have admitted the party has abandoned their working class base and instead have heavily catered towards coastal elites. This shift toward coastal elites has resulted in the majority of the party feeling abandoned, such as less-affluent voters and union groups who said they feel the Democratic Party looks down upon them.

Although the report does not suggest the Democratic Party move fully to the right, but rather they "learn from the relentless focus of Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Zohran Mamdani" when it comes to appealing to voters on economic opportunity and a lower cost of living. This is evidence the Democrats are having a hard time hiding how much influence these progressive stars have in the party, showcasing how far left the platform of the Democratic Party has now shifted.

The evidence of this shift can be seen in their support of legislation in Congress. Over the last 11 years:

• Democrats co-sponsoring a bill to study reparation for descendants of slaves rose from 1% to 57%
• Support for giving federal prisoners full voting rights rose from 4% to 41%

Additionally, the platform of national Democrats highlights this shift as well. From 2012 to 2024, the report found a massive increase in radical language, specifically language about:

• DEI oriented policies increased 828%
• Environmental justice went up 333%
• LGBTQ rights went up 1044%

And on the contrary, mentions of

• "Men" fell by 63%
• "Fathers" fell by 100%
• "Responsibility" fell by 83%

Democrats are losing control of their party and are shifting far to the left, with no plan to stop it.
