Introducing Students to Latest Technology

I recently participated in something extraordinary. It was something so simple and un-complicated that many of you might not consider it to be extraordinary at all. What makes it extraordinary is the rarity with which it gets any attention.

The corporation where I work - without any interference or intervention from any level of government - sent teams of technology professionals to an inner city school in Philadelphia to teach and inspire students with a quick introduction to some of the cutting edge technology that we work with. I bring this up to emphasize that we Americans are not extraordinary because of our government. We are extraordinary because of the character of our people. Goodness, kindness, and a willingness to lend a helping hand come naturally to the American people. It is only when government steps in and curbs these natural tendencies that we become more closed off and reluctant to participate in the lives of our neighbors.

Goodness, kindness, and a willingness to lend a helping hand come naturally to the American people.

I challenge you to make a difference in your communities. Volunteer time at your church, school, or food bank. Reach out and learn the perspective of someone else who you don’t even know. This nation can become great again but only if we respect each other enough to participate.
