US Supreme Court Sides with Parents in Gender Transition Case

The US Supreme Court recently sided with a district court’s injunction in a case that will determine whether school gender-transition policies that encourage students to socially transition without parental consent are constitutional. The injunction places a temporary ban on social gender-transitioning in schools throughout the country while the cases are in court. Many pro-family and pro-freedom leaders, however, are hopeful that the courts will ultimately side with parents, as they have in previous cases.

Parents have the right to direct and be involved in every aspect of their child’s education. Allowing school officials to provide gender-transition counsel to minors without parental consent is a direct violation of this right. Children belong to their parents, not the state.
